What can I do if my baby will not sleep at night?

If your baby is finding it hard to go to sleep, or is waking up frequently, it is best to keep things as quiet and calm at night as you can. Using low lights, soft voices and avoiding playing with your baby can help. Practising techniques such as controlled comforting once your baby is old enough can help them learn to soothe and settle themselves when they wake at night.
