Why do baby teeth need to be brushed if they are going to fall out anyway?

Baby teeth are very important for the child's health and development. Healthy baby teeth are essential for proper chewing of food, speech development and important for a child's self-esteem. Not brushing baby teeth can lead to tooth decay, which is painful, disruptive to eating and a potential cause of serious infections. A child that requires removal of teeth as a result of tooth decay, may have problems with permanent teeth growth and proper chewing.
