How is chronic renal failure treated?

Treatment of chronic kidney failure is aimed at slowing kidney damage progression, and targeting the underlying cause. The success of treatment depends on how much damage has already occurred. In cases where kidney function is severely reduced, dialysis or a kidney transplant may be required.
