What is chronic renal failure?

Chronic renal failure, also known as chronic kidney disease, is a condition involving the kidney's ability to filter and remove unwanted waste and excess fluid from the bloodstream. If you kidney is damaged, its function is reduced over time, which can lead to a build-up of fluid and waste, particularly urea, and cause unwanted health complications.
